Confession: I am a list-maker.
Can you relate?
I often have multiple lists going at once. Trying to diligently complete something, anything – just so I can cross it off. Sometimes, I even add things to my list just so I can cross more things off. Ridiculous, I know.
Why this obsession with making lists?
It’s not that I’m all that organized, to be honest. I think I just like to feel like I’ve accomplished things in my day. I want to feel productive. Yes, that is one of the best feelings at the end of the day – productivity.
Do I have a system for my lists?
Well, no, not really. Often, I just reach for a piece of paper or a small notebook. Sometimes I make a list on my phone (using Evernote or StickyNotes or my Google Calendar). I do always put a little square [ ] at the beginning to know that it is not completed. But also so I can put a big X through it. And then I end up just crossing the whole thing off anyway. Again, weird.
